Denitza Seraphim
Singer, Composer, Painter
Many identify Denitza as the successor of Lisa Gerard of Dead Can Dance - and this is undoubtedly true as both strive for the spiritually elevated sacred sound. Over the years, the Bulgarian singer has developed a characteristic personal style, which allows her voice to soar with the energy flow of a free bird over near and far lands and times. Denitza Seraphim interweaves in the modes of Byzantine church singing and Bulgarian folklore mysterious exotic notes from the Middle East and North Africa to the Celtic and Iberian folk traditions. She composes melodies inspired by the music of past epochs and transfers them to epic, new age and fusion compositions. With the same aspiration and passion he sings and interprets in the modern styles such as Ambient, Jazz, Chaos, Trip-hop.
